What If Beloved…

Exoneration

Of Love’s Wrath,

The jagged edges of her daggers!

The crack of scathing scorn’s whip!

The bites of her lashing tongue!

The rapier like thrusts of her rage!

The gouging hooks of her thrashing talons!

What If her deepest bites were nothing more, Than the distress calls of The Beloved’s tormented anguish?

Still seeking to be heard through the deafening roar, Shrill shrieking shadow’s lamented languish!

I stop to see and hear My Love, Exoneration’s Glance…

A breeze that whispers of sweet belonging.

Through the frenzied shrieks of the wounded dove, In Desperation’s Dance…

To fulfill our unmet love’s longing.
