Small Wonders

Not So Fast

From Revelation

A Still Small Voice whispers Not So Fast, Pleasures of The Heart are the ones that last. Savor small pleasures so subtle & sweet, Every day treasures lying at your feet.

Like little things and subtleties, Flapping wings in summer breeze. Or a sight to savor a sweet surprise, The flickering favor of loving eyes. Or the new day born a daily christening, Sweet spring morn dripping dew. Complete surrender in stillness glistening, A sweeping splendor that runs me through! Or a windblown forest’s whipping trees, With whistling flutes of rustling leaves. So fluid & lyrical in the whispering breeze, A melodic miracle that no one sees!

Never disparage the profoundly mundane, To ravage small wonders renders creation profane. It’s not the scale of what’s in front of thee, Beware the lure of lust and gluttony. Petty & trivial they would render, All of creation’s beckoning splendor!
